The table below lists devices compatible with Hubitat Elevation™. You can sort the list by Brand Name, Protocol or Device Type to help you quickly find the device you are looking for. This list will be updated over time.

Devices listed here are confirmed to have worked with Hubitat, this does not mean it is guaranteed to work with Hubitat. Support can not assist you with pairing devices with the hub. Building a proper mesh network with repeaters is required to make most Zigbee and Z-Wave devices work with Hubitat. .

Zigbee and Z-Wave devices require the correct drivers to connect and work properly with the hub. LAN and Cloud devices connect using the specific integration app listed and may require an additional bridge device to communicate.

While this list includes devices known by Hubitat to work, there are countless other devices users have running on their hubs. Hubitat Elevation Mobile App

You can install the Hubitat Elevation mobile app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.

New Users

Create an account using email and password

Make sure you have you hub discovered and registered at portal.hubitat.com

Sign in to App

Existing Hub Owners

Sign in to App using the Email and Password used to register your hub.

NOTE: If you used one of the Single Sign On (SSO) / federated accounts to register your hub (Facebook, Google, Amazon) you will need to migrate your hub https:\\test-portal.hubitat.com/migrate

Add Additional Users
Log into test-portal.hubitat.com and go to my hubs.

click on the hub you want to add a user (the image of the hub, not the link to the hub)

a dialog box will appear. You can add a user to your hub.

NOTE: The user must already be registered on test-portal.hubitat.com.

You can promote users to admin or demote them to guest. Only admins can invite other users, otherwise admin and guest have equal access to login to the mobile app.

First Login

You will be greeted with a quick tutorial regarding the app, which we recommend quickly going through, or you can skip it.

There are 3 main areas of the app.

Dashboards
This defaults to the dashboard menu served up from your hub. You can get back to the menu by pulling down to refresh or tapping the dashboard button again.

Geofencing
When you login for the first time, after the first "geo event" a new mobile app device is created on your hub with the name of your phone. This hub device will be the place where the mobile app will store the present / not present events triggered by the geofence.

You can tap and hold the pin on the map and fine tune your location or use the slider to adjust the fence size.

The mobile only transmits directly to the hub a change event, either Entered or Exited which maps to the present / not present state of the Hub Device. No location / GPS data ever leaves the phone.

Settings
You can edit the name of your device which will override the name of the device on your hub. It is recommended to change the label of the Hub Device which will be used in rules and other apps.

You can switch hubs if you have more than one hub linked to your email.

You can also log out of the app as well.

Lastly, there are several troubleshooting options to help diagnose issues with the app.

Many issues with devices and app code can be identified by using Logs in your Hubitat Web Interface. Examining your logs can save you a lot of time and frustration by quickly pinpointing the line of code in the device or app that is generating an error.

Open your logs by selecting ''Logs'' on the left side of your Hubitat Web Interface. If you have devices connected and active, you should start seeing log details appear as those devices check in with the hub.

===Submitting support requests===
In order to best assist you with the issue you are experiencing, please first try substituting any custom drivers with virtual drivers to see if the behavior can be reproduced.

Using Rule Machine® or other built-in apps, and temporarily removing custom apps will help to establish a baseline for testing. Once the custom drivers and apps have been substituted for built-in drivers and apps, test your system to see if the issue persists. Discovering Devices is the process for pairing your Zigbee and Z-Wave mesh devices. Other devices, such as [[Lutron Integration|Lutron]] and [[Hue Bridge Integration|Philips Hue Bridge]], are connected using integration apps which can be found in the Apps section of your Web Interface. Remember that as you connect Zigbee and Z-Wave devices, they will have a limited range, and If they are too far from your hub, you will need to add repeating devices (devices that plug in to the wall or are AC mains powered) to make the connection.

Use the Nest Integration app to connect your Nest thermostat to your Hubitat Elevation™. Once your Nest device is connected you will be able to use it in our rule building apps.

Before using the Nest Integration app, you will need to create an online Nest account. Owning a Nest device obviously helps, too.`

To get connected:

#Load/open the Nest Integration app in your Hubitat Web Interface.
#Choose the ''Login to Nest'' button. This will open a new browser window where you will be asked to enter your email address and password.
#Nest will ask for permission to access several Nest features. Select ''Allow''.
#Back in the Nest Integration app, select Manage/View Devices to add your Nest devices.

The Nest component is the main component to integrate all Nest related platforms. To connect Nest, you will have to sign up for a developer account and get a client_id and client_secret.

SETTING UP DEVELOPER ACCOUNT

Visit Nest Developers <nowiki>https://developers.nest.com/</nowiki>, and sign in. Create an account if you don’t have one already.

Fill in account details:

The “Company Information” can be anything. We recommend using your name.

Submit changes

Click “Products”

Click “Create New Product”

Fill in details:

The product name must be unique.

The description should be something like "Hubitat Oauth Client"

The "Support URL" is <nowiki>https://community.hubitat.com</nowiki>

The “Default OAuth Redirect URL” Field needs to be <nowiki>https://cloud.hubitat.com/api/nest</nowiki>
