Connecting your Hubitat Elevation™ to your Amazon Echo or Alexa compatible device is an easy way to add voice control to your home automations. Using the Hubitat Amazon Echo Skill app allows you to control switches, dimmers and door locks. You will need to own an Amazon Echo or an Alexa compatible device and the Hubitat Skill for Alexa must be added via the Alexa app on your mobile device or alexa.amazon.com

Activating the Hubitat Skill for Alexa

  1. From the Amazon Alexa app, tap the hamburger menu on the top left

  2. Select Skills and Games from the menu

  3. Search All Skills

  4. Type Hubitat in the search box

  5. Tap ENABLE on the Hubitat Elevation™ Alexa Skill

  6. Enter the same username and password you used to register your Hubitat Elevation™ hub

  7. Select your hub name from the list

  8. Select the devices you want the Alexa Skill to have access to. NOTE: The devices available to Alexa can be changed later from the Amazon Echo Skill app on your Hubitat Elevation™ hub afterward as well.
