It is recommended to use a Hue Bridge when connecting Hue bulbs to Hubitat Elevation™. Even though Hue bulbs use a zigbee connection and can talk directly to your hub, you will find the best performance when using the bridge. Once connected through the Hue Bridge Integration app, your bulbs can be used in any of our rule-building apps.

The first step is to configure your Hue Bridge and Hue Bulbs in your Hue mobile app or online at meet hue.com.


To connect your hue bridge:

  1. Add the Hue Bridge Integration app in your Hubitat Web Interface.
  2. When the app opens, click Done.
  3. Re-open the app by clicking on Hue Bridge Integration.
  4. When the app opens, it will start the discovery process. This may take a few minutes. Once your bridge is discovered, select it
