The Z-Wave poller app corrects a polling issue with certain Z-Wave devices that do not display their state properly. The only affects select non-plus Z-wave devices. To determine if your Z-Wave device is a candidate for Z-Wave poller, active your device manually and while you watch your logs. If the device does not register a change of stat in the logs, it is a candidate for Z-Wave Poller. If the device does register a change in the logs, there is no need to use the Poller.
To use the Z-wave Poller:
- Load/Open the Z-Wave Poller app in your Hubitat Web Interface.
- Use the Select Dimmers to Poll dropdown menu to choose the Z-Wave dimmers you would like to poll, then click update.
- Use the Select Switches to Poll dropdown menu to choose the Z-Wave switches you would like to poll, then click update.
- When your devices are selected, click Start polling for selected devices. You can pause Z-Wave polling at any time by opening the app and clicking Stop All Poling.
- To assist with troubleshooting, you can toggle on Enable Logging
- When you are finished, click Done.
