Portal login v1
Logging into your hub via the portal is different from Hub Login Security, where you are simply securing your user access to the hub via the Web Interface or Local Hubitat® Dashboard. You may access your hub by using the Hubitat Elevation List at portal.hubitat.com, so even if your hub IP address is not known, it will still be possible to access it from the Web Interface. When you access your hub in this way, the hub IP will be displayed in your browser address bar.
Keep your hub accessible
- Setting up a static IP address on Hubitat Elevation™ is not possible, therefore it is strongly recommended that you reserve an IP address for your hub in the DHCP reservation settings of your router. See your router manufacturer instructions to learn how. Reserving an IP address in your router will ensure you are always able to access your hub from the same IP address, and other connected devices on your network will be able to always find the hub.
Access from Hubitat Elevation List
- Visit portal.hubitat.com* and using the same sign-in method used at the time of Registration and setup, sign in to your account.* Your computer must be on the same Local Area Network as your hub in order to register and access the Web Interface.
- The account location name you created should appear in the Hubitat Elevation™ List of the registration portal.
- Select the Register Hub button to link your hub to your account.
